Resume
In the period when the
growth of international trade leads to the renewal of the interest in
communication devices independent on languages, it is very important to accept
this existing trend in a flexible way also to the form of the content of education
at schools. Even the field of technical drawing cannot be closed to this trend.
New
norms are constantly improving and accepting (mainly ISO – international) and
these treat supra-national comprehensibility of graphic elements and at the
same time they replace word definitions at which it is necessary to know a
particular language. The possibility of the so called supra-national language
of Esperanto (or earlier Latin) is probably dying and certain groups of
languages as English, German, Russian, Spanish, French and other come to the
fore. Standardized (normalized) graphic elements, standards, pictograms
international comprehensibility of which is given by their visual presentation
do not grow just as a consequence of this fact. This field of teaching
technical education fundamentals captured me so much that I have decided to
point out the possibility of its wider incorporation into the existing form of
training pupils at schools providing basic education.
As
it has already been partly mentioned, this thesis should contain the elements
of modernization of teaching technical education fundamentals (graphics) at
schools which provide basic education. The aim is to raise attraction and
acceptability of the content of the curriculum for a pupil with the emphasis on
user attitude to technology. Digression from the trend of making
productive-technical documentation is thought to be the user attitude. It means
its replacement by means of elements with higher abstraction – symbolism (e.g.
schemes, drafts, symbols, etc.).
I
also find very important the choice of teaching method and organizational
teaching form. I would like to concentrate mainly on the application of project
teaching or perhaps problem methods at which I can see more space to gain
integrated knowledge, abilities and habits related to teaching technical
subjects fundamentals.
Apart from other things it is counted on classification of computer technology to teaching, respectively to reading and making simple drafts, schemes, plans, drawings, symbols, pictograms and other things. Namely to get higher motivation of the pupils or perhaps larger individualization of teaching. Assumptions and requirements of the national program of “ICT (information communication technology) classification to education” are also filled by this step. From the point of view of ICT availability at schools it is possible to note that about ninety percent of schools are equipped in this way and that is why they may use these possibilities. Among particular program equipment necessary for so conducted teaching I would classify especially the programme of Microsoft Word and its instrument for drawing, furthermore the access to the Internet and as a super standard I would mark programmes of the type of CAD (computer aided design) which are possible to be recommended more as a part of extending content of curriculum for senior pupils of the secondary school.
